The Alternative School new sign

TAS celebrates 8 years with a new school sign and Independent School Association (ISA) status.

On Friday 6th November 2015, Andrew Stephenson and the TAS staff team cut the ribbon on a new school sign to mark 8 years since the opening of The Alternative School in 2007 and to celebrate our new status as a formally recognised Independent School and accredited member of the ISA.

The new sign was unveiled at our flagship school in Barnoldswick, now known as the Pendle Campus, and the official unveiling was an extremely proud moment for the whole TAS team as we celebrated the progress we have made at the school since it was first opened.

Andrew Stephenson has been a supporter of the school for a number of years and we were extremely pleased when he was able to take up our invitation to ‘cut the ribbon’. In local newspaper articles Mr Stephenson was quoted as saying, “I think that The Alternative School is an excellent alternative provider of education and I have been delighted over the last few years to see it go from strength to strength… “I’m really pleased that they continue to expand, to take on more children and to open new sites…. “The staff at the school do a fantastic job and they should be applauded.”
